Individual & Family Services

Our Individual & Family Services Program provides short term emergency assistance with basic needs of food, clothing, holiday assistance, utility assistance and resource information and referrals. Services are offered Monday to Friday. Office hours 8 am to 5 pm. Food Pantry hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Services are designed for low income individuals and families who are faced with an unexpected crisis of not being able to meet their basic needs; at risk of losing their self-sufficiency.

If eligible, we can assist with Utility Assistance (CPS-SAWS) for the last amount needed to prevent disconnection (not to exceed $75.00).

Clients should bring with them the following: Proof of identification, income, and cause of crisis. Walk in clients will be seen if time permits or given an appointment to come back.

Client intake/assessment is completed on all clients. Immediate need will be addressed first and direct assistance/referrals provided same day. If client is in need of other services, if time permits, those will also be taken care; if time does not permit an appointment will be made for client to return.

We do not provide rental assistance; we encourage clients to use the United Way Help Line (dial 211) to for resources for this service.

We partner with the SA Food Bank providing Weekly Bread Distribution every Tuesday 1 pm – 4 pm; and Monthly commodities for elderly 60 years and over – 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Holiday Assistance & Christmas Toy Project

Holiday Assistance & Christmas Toy Project

Our program goal for the Holiday Season is to bring some joy into the lives of low-income individuals, families and children during a time of crisis by ensuring that they have food to prepare a holiday meal and toys for their children.

We partner with the Elf Louise and other agencies/organizations for our Christmas Toy Project to provide toys, gifts and food for families in need. We start accepting toys first week in September. We welcome partners, sponsors, and donations to help make our holiday goal a reality.
